From Alice in Wonderland type adventures through Manchester Museum, to bringing Mancunian classics to Meltdown Festival, through long table banqueting at Festival No 6, to a waste food feast at Just So Festival, I’ve created special and thought provoking food events in venues of all shapes and sizes.

Recipe writing

I have written recipes for a number of publications, including the Guardian and the Bury Times. My special interests are local and national food traditions, historical food, cheese and cheese making, wine, wild meat, preserving and curing, and addressing issues of food waste.

Restaurant consultancy

Full packages available covering: menu planning and costing; recruitment for Front of House, kitchen and management positions; drinks lists; bar set up; staff training.

Workshops, demos and classes

Suitable for groups or individuals of all levels, from beginner home cooks, to students or professional chefs looking to improve knowledge of in-house dairying, meat curing, stocks and sauces, and fish prep. Cheese and wine, cider or beer masterclasses also available.
